当发现海外华裔中文教学是一个被严重忽视的领域，Maggie于2017年创办了ABC College，协同近十位专业教职人员教授澳大利亚华裔普通话和文化学习。她对“早期干预“坚信不疑，带领开展了这个项目，为4岁（语言学习黄金期）的少儿及小学学习者提供华裔和二语中文课程。
Maggie 在南澳大利亚公立学校系统工作了10 年，并于3年前受聘于一所私立学校担任中文学科主管，对课程的开发和实施有着非常深入的了解。
教学团队在建立ABC College时面临的最大挑战之一，是缺乏成熟的课程和教学框架。
建立有效的研发计划，不仅需要研发团队具有经验和智慧，同时也需要花费大量时间考察课程、研究教学标准并熟悉各类课程，如IBPYP、IBMYP 课程和澳大利亚国家课程的要求。澳大利亚课程和国际文凭小学课程（IBPYP）的应用有助于提高学生的学习兴趣，并提高他们对语言学习和跨文化理解。建立计划框架后，我们也对教学计划进行试点和测试，寻求同事、家长的意见和反馈。

Maggie Gu

Maggie’s experience at Maggie曾在Glenunga国际高中任职，教授SACE汉语二语课程、SACE母语课程、IB中文A、IB中文B和8-10年级澳大利亚课程中文作为第二语言的汉语课程。在 Glenunga 教学的头 3 年里，经过她的领导和规划，报选中文的学生人数就翻了一番。Maggie 的 IB 对外汉语班一般都有 40% 以上的学生获得了 7 分（满分）。 2020 年年底的高考中，她的 IB 班有80%学生取得了 7 分的优异成绩。从2011年开始任教IB课程以来，她年年收到校长表彰，每年都有满分学生，毕业班级成绩名列前茅。
2013 年，Maggie 被教育部任命为阿德莱德东部地区，语言教师使用新科技语言教学培训 (ICT) 负责人。她负责为教师组织和举办关于将网络学习工具应用到语言课堂的研讨会。该四个学期的项目吸引了 87 名南澳大利亚小学和高中众多语种的语言教师。
